The Continuous Scale Exercise (Over C Jazz Blues) Jazz Improvisation Guitar Lesson is one approach to Jazz Improv where you play scales through the chord changes (progression) in time (usually in 8th notes). When playing up or down or in a scale pattern through each chord, you change from the current note that you are playing to the next note in the new scale in time without stopping the pattern.
